The bike James never made.

In a 1945 publication called "Retrospect and Prospect" there was illustrated a 196cc model that was never, in fact, made.

'We have made this model to meet the desire of those who require a little more speed (50-55 m.p.h) a little more comfort and a little more comprehensive equipment without surrendering the inherent advantages of the lightweight type of machine.'

Whilst it looks rather 'pre-war' it does not appear in any pre-war model range.
